Harper Apartments was co-developed by The Excelsior Group and Ryan Companies and is located in St. Paul across the street from Vintage on Selby, a project developed in 2015 by the same team.  Harper was fondly referred to during project design as Vintage’s moodier younger sister due to it’s complimentary, but unique design features.  Harper has a comfortable and quirky aesthetic and features 40% micro and studio units. The project includes a coworking space on the main floor, which is jointly managed with the apartments, but functions as a stand-alone coworking business attracting both resident and non-resident tenants.  Coworking tenants and residents share amenities on the first floor of the building including a fitness center, mail and package rooms, a coffee bar and social lounge as well as conference rooms.  The residents also enjoy private access to a second floor club room, a roof deck and a pool. Combining these two complimentary uses created a vibrant lobby space that is activated throughout the day and also supported a more robust amenity package than is typically found in an apartment building the size of Harper.  The project is also home to restaurant tenant Yum! Kitchen and Bakery.  Together the apartments, coworking and restaurant are a vibrant addition to the neighborhood’s retail corridor.
