Chris Culp founded The Excelsior Group in 2005 to develop, acquire, and manage multifamily real estate. Since its inception, the company has earned a reputation for creativity, excellence, and integrity within the real estate industry. Over the years, The Excelsior Group leveraged its reputation to start, support, and grow several real estate businesses including land development, commercial brokerage services, commercial property management, homebuilder lending and marketing and branding – all of which thrived on The Excelsior Group’s platform.
Chris has been active in commercial real estate finance, development, acquisition, and management for more than 20 years. In particular, he has a deep understanding of the complexities of multifamily development and operations, which has been key to The Excelsior Group’s success in identifying and financing exceptional development projects. Under Chris’ leadership, The Excelsior Group has developed more than $2 billion in multifamily, mixed-use and commercial properties.
In addition to his role at TEG, Chris is the former Board Chair of the Minnesota Multi Housing Association; he is also a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council, BOMA, IREM and MNCAR. He’s a lover of golf, hockey and Villanova and when he is not at work, you may find him organizing his family’s closets.
